SylWrap Pipe Refurbishment System

The SylWrap Pipe Refurbishment System is a four-stage process which restores pipework back to its original specification. It goes beyond what is possible with leak repair kits.

Low Diisocyanate Composite Wraps

EU and UK REACH legislation came into force in August 2023 stipulating end-users can only handle products containing greater than 0.1% free diisocyanate in a work environment after undergoing extensive and regular health and safety training.

The new laws led Sylmasta to formulate a low hazard resin below 0.1%. SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandages containing LH resin are the only moisture cured wraps on the market free from the regulations.

ASME PCC-2 Compliant Pipe Repairs

Composite repair products from the SylWrap Pipe Refurbishment System are independently tested and verified for repairs conforming to ASME PCC-2, including Appendix 401-III Short Term Spool Survival and 402-III Validation for Repair of Leaking Component.

PCC-2 qualification enables these products to be used in industries like oil and gas, chemical processing and power generation where high pressure systems and hazardous pipe content are present.
