Superfast Aqua Potable Water is a fast-working epoxy putty in a 114g stick format with a specialist formulation for wet surface and underwater pipe repair applications.
It offers very high adhesion in damp, wet, saltwater and freshwater conditions to pipework made of steel, iron, copper, PVC plastic, GRP, ceramic and concrete.
Superfast Aqua PW has WRAS approval, meaning it is certified to British standards as safe to use on pipes carrying drinking water. It seals holes and cracks, fills in small areas of damage caused by corrosion, and restores pipeline integrity by increasing the thickness of weakened sections.
Within an hour of application, systems repaired using Superfast Aqua PW can be put back into use. As well as water, it is resistant to chemicals and temperature extremes.
It contains no solvents or VOC’s, is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away and the unused portion of Aqua PW Stick stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
To reinforce repairs made with Superfast Aqua PW, Sylmasta recommend overwrapping the Epoxy Putty with a SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandage. The Bandage offers a rock hard, impact resistant layer of protection.

How to make a wet surface or underwater pipe repair with Superfast Aqua Potable Water Epoxy Putty Stick
Superfast Aqua PW Stick contains pre-measured portions of activator and base, meaning that no measuring or mixing is required.
To use Superfast Aqua PW, simply cut off the required amount of Epoxy Putty and knead it by hand. As it is kneaded, it will turn to a uniform white colour to indicate successful mixing.
Whilst soft, Superfast Aqua PW is pushed into holes and cracks in metal pipework. It will then harden, sealing the leak. For damage repair and surface restoration, it is applied over areas of pitting and damage caused by corrosion.
Superfast Aqua PW has a work life of approximately 5 minutes. Within 10-15 minutes, it will harden and form a cohesive bond. Systems can be put back into light service after one hour. Working strength is achieved after five to eight hours and maximum properties after 24 hours.
Once cured, Superfast Aqua PW can be tapped, drilled, screwed, sawed, machined, ground, filed, or painted to create a smooth and seamless finish uniform with the pipe undergoing repair.
