Pipe reprofiling epoxy pastes and putties improve the outer surface condition of pipelines either by rebuilding weak and damaged areas back to original specification, or by removing sharp angles ahead of reinforcement with a composite wrap.
Where a pipe has been left degraded by corrosion, wear, abrasion, chemical attack or other factors, reprofliling increase external wall thickness and returns strength. It fills damage caused by pitting, smooths out edges and removes steps to create an even pipeline for wrapping.
In addition, reprofiling provides full contact and load spreading between the pipe and composite wrap added at Stage 4 of the SPRS, further strengthening repairs.
Industrial Metal Epoxy Paste reprofiles large areas of metal and plastic pipelines. It contains corrosion resistant platelets for an ultra smooth finish. It is easily applied by spreading over the pipe using a filling knife.
In successful qualification testing to pass ASME PCC-2 Appendix 401-III – Short Term Spool Survival, Industrial Metal and SylWrap HD Pipe Repair Bandage rebuilt a pipe weakened by 86 percent to withstand over 309.6 bar pressure.
Industrial Metal also meets BS 6920 standard for use with potable water. Titanium Supergrade HT is a high temperature alternative resistant to 250°C and offering greater compressive strength.
Sylmasta AB Original Epoxy Putty is mixed and applied by hand. It rebuilds areas of damage on all substrates and reinforce around pipe supports. It makes underwater repairs and can also act as a sacrificial layer in chemically aggressive environments.
AB Original has an extended two-hour work time. It gives the user longer to mould, shape and apply the putty without fear it will cure off before application is complete.

Industrial Metal Epoxy Paste
Industrial Metal is a metal-filled epoxy paste which rebuilds large areas of weakened metal and plastic pipes. It is mixed and applied with a filling knife. It contains corrosion resistant platelets and makes BS 6920 compliant repairs when used with SylWrap HD.

Titanium Supergrade HT Epoxy Paste
Titanium Supergrade HT is an alloy-reinforced epoxy paste with very high compressive strength. It has a three-hour work time and is applied with a filling knife. It rebuilds large areas of weakened pipes operating at extreme temperatures up to 250°C.

Sylmasta AB Original Epoxy Putty
AB Original is a ceramic-filled, super-strength epoxy putty with a two-hour work time. It is applied by hand to rebuild pipes of all materials. It bonds underwater and also acts as a sacrificial layer in chemically aggressive environments.
