The SylWrap Drain & Waste Pipe Repair Kit is a specialist kit for facilities management teams, drain repair companies and other end-users who are frequently required to seal cracked cast iron and plastic pipework in public, commercial and residential buildings.
It permanently repairs leaking drain, waste and soil pipes between 32mm and 150mm diameter (1¼ – 6″) in under 30 minutes, even when water is leaking through. Repairs can be made around difficult elbows, tees and welds, offering a flexible alternative to heavy, bulky repair clamps.
The Kit comes in a robust red case which is easily kept on-site or on the van. It contains enough products to make multiple repairs, providing a cost-effective and convenient solution for users regularly fixing cracked drain and sewer pipes.

How to seal cracked cast iron or plastic pipework with a SylWrap Drain & Waste Pipe Repair Kit
The SylWrap Drain & Waste Pipe Repair Kit contains four different sealing materials and SylWrap HD Pipe Repair Bandages for use in the final stage of the application.
Superfast Steel Epoxy Putty is used to seal small holes and cracks. The Putty is kneaded by hand until it turns a uniform colour. It is then pushed into the crack, where it will harden in around 5 minutes to fill the damage with a watertight material.
CrackSeal Sealant seals longer cracks and splits in cast iron pipework. Using a standard sealant gun (not provided as part of the Kit), it is extruded directly into the crack until fully filled. CrackSeal sets almost instantly, even on wet surfaces.
SplitFill Epoxy Adhesive is used on cracks and longitudinal splits in plastic pipework. The Adhesive is mixed and spread over the split and surrounding area using a spatula. It will enter the split in the pipework and cure within 5 minutes, forming a gap filler.
Wrap & Seal Pipe Burst Tape seals cracks where a significant amount of water is leaking through as the repair takes place, such as a drainpipe stack whilst it is raining.
The self-amalgamating waterproof tape is stretched by three times its length, causing it to fuse into a solid rubber band which provides pressure resistance over the crack.
Once the crack has been sealed, the repair is completed by overwrapping with SylWrap HD. Wetting the Bandage activates the resin. SylWrap HD is wrapped around and smoothed over the initial sealant, where it will set in around 5 minutes to form an impact resistant, protective layer for a permanent repair.
