Superfast Plastic Epoxy Putty Stick
Superfast Plastic is a semi-flexible epoxy putty in a 114g stick format specifically formulated for the repair of leaking plastic pipes, including PVC.
It seals holes, cracks and leaking joints in bathroom, kitchen and industrial pipes made from PVC, ABS and many other types of plastic. The only plastics which Superfast Plastic is not compatible with are polyolefins (polyethylene/polypropylene).
Superfast Plastic is resistant to water, chemicals and temperature extremes. It contains no solvents or VOC’s, is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away and any unused putty stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
To reinforce repairs made with Superfast Plastic, Sylmasta recommend overwrapping the epoxy putty with a SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandage. The bandage offers a rock hard, impact resistant layer of protection.
SylWrap can be purchased along with Superfast Steel Epoxy Putty as part of the SylWrap Standard Pipe Repair Kit or the Pipe Repair Contractor Case, containing enough products to make up to six pipe repairs. Superfast Steel is effective on pipes of all materials, including plastic.
How to fix a leaking pipe using Superfast Plastic Epoxy Putty Stick
Superfast Plastic Stick contains pre-measured portions of resin and hardener in the correct 1:1 ratio which means no measuring of separate parts is required.
To use Superfast Plastic, simply cut off the required amount of epoxy putty from the stick and knead it by hand. As it is kneaded, the putty will turn a uniform white colour to indicate successful mixing.
Whilst soft, Superfast Plastic Epoxy Putty is pushed into cracks in domestic and industrial plastic pipework where it will cure, filling holes and sealing leaks.
Superfast Plastic has a work life of approximately 5-10 minutes. It reaches an initial cure after 15-20 minutes, working strength after one hour and a full cure is achieved after 24 hours.
Once cured, Superfast Plastic can be tapped, drilled, screwed, sawed, machined, ground, filed, or painted to create a smooth and seamless finish uniform with the pipe undergoing repair.

Superfast Aqua PW also has WRAS approval, meaning it is certified as safe to British standards for use on pipes and fittings carrying drinking water.
